Who are your usual clients?
We offer all our consultancy services to landscapers, designers, architects and housing developers.
What is your service radius?
Even though we work from our Stokes Croft office in the cultural and artistic hub of Bristol, technology means that we can provide our services to anyone anywhere in the UK. We have clients located from Cornwall to Scotland!
Do you need to visit the site?
We often have no need to go on site.
For designs, we can work with the architectural and engineering drawings, site photos and topographic plan, together with a client brief, and that’s enough information for us to get started.
For estimates sometimes all we need is the detailed landscape plan. Site photos often help but are not always essential.
In some cases it may be necessary to visit the site but this will be agreed from the start.
What programs do you use?
For designs and drafting we use a mix of AutoCAD and Vectorworks, depending on client needs, and can export as PDF or provide the files in native formats.
3D visuals are modelled in Vectorworks or SketchUp and then rendered in Lumion or Renderworks.
Estimates are worked out in our own Excel spreadsheets and we will provide an exported PDF for your client, together with the Excel file for your records. We have experimented with specialist estimating software in the past but found that Excel is easiest for our clients to view the calculations.
Would my clients know you are involved?
Not if you don’t want them to know.
For designs and drafting we can use your branding if required. This means your client will be under the impression you have your own CAD team in your office.
With estimates and tendering we will always provide you with documentation displaying your logo and contact details, as it is you who will be carrying out the works.
Will you treat my info and projects as confidential?
Any files and documents submitted to YES Landscape Consultants are deemed confidential. This information is used solely for preparing of quotes, designs and documentation as required.
Where necessary for extra security, we are happy to sign confidentiality agreements. We have previously signed for special projects but sshh, don’t tell anyone.
What do you charge?
We generally charge an hourly rate that is agreed prior to commencing any project. In some cases a fixed fee or percentage may be more appropriate – we will always agree this up front.
We will provide detailed invoices that show exactly how much time was spent on each project.
Please contact us for a quote or to discuss your requirements.
